The company has high voltage testing hall and testing research chamber. Testing research chamber is an exclusive department testing and researching on all performances including physic and chemistry of dielectric especially research and develop in new technology, new materials and new products.

At present, there are three professional production lines: all-film capacitor, capacitor voltage transformer and metallized film capacitor, which are equipped with automatic winding machine of all-film capacitor from the United States, automatic winding machine of metallized film capacitor from Switzerland, and more than 20 vacuum impregnated system.

The company has passed ISO9001 quality system certification in 1997.Technological level and R&D has achieved domestic lead standard. In 1991, the factory has won the titles “the first prize of national great technology equipment” issued by state council.

For these forty years, GPCW has made great contribution to Chinese development of power capacitor industry. We have won one national invention award, two national science and technology progress awards, twenty-eight science and technology progress awards of ministry, province and city, eight national patents.

420,000 kvar shunt capacitor was offered to Fangshan’s 500kV substation in Beijing, 160,000kvar shunt capacitor to Liaoyang’s 500kV substation in Liaoning, 360,000kvar shunt capacitor to 500kV transmitting engineering of Daya bay nuclear power station and so on. To today, the factory has provided production for over 50 500kV substations. 750kV capacitor voltage transformer was manufactured successfully in 2003 and its successful operation with 750kV transmission demonstration project in September 2005.
