NCS was established in 1970 and restructured as a private-owned enterprise in July,2004, which now covers an area of 610,000 sqm. She has more than 3,000 employees, among which over 1000 are technicians and management staff.

-One building dock of 360m x 76m x 12m for 300,000 dwt vessels,furnished with one gantry crane with the capacity of 600 mt.

-One ‘Step Type’ building dock of 280m x 83m,furnished with one gantry crane of 300 mt lifting capacity and capable of building one Panamax vessel and one Aframax vessel simultaneously.

-One 920-meter-long deep water outfitting wharf for vessels up to 300,000 dwt.

-One 304-meter-long outfitting wharf for 100,000 dwt vessels.

The company boasts of annual steel plate machining capacity of 200,000 tons and the annual production capacity of 12??18 vessels of all types.She successfully passed the attestation and obtained the certification of ISO 9001 in May,2001.

Since 1996,New Century Shipbuilding Co.,Ltd. has initiated among local Shipyards in China,the precedent of building vessels over 10,000 dwt. Up to now ,the approximate number of the vessels of about ten types such as 73,400 dwt Product Oil Tanker, 52,300 dwt Bulk Carrier, 35,000 dwt Lakes Bulk Carrier etc, which have been built and are being built for owners from Denmark,Bahamas,UK,Germany,Greece,Indonesia,Singapore,Malaysia,Hong Kong etc and are classed with different classification societies such as ABS,LR NK,GL,DNV,BV, has reached 50.We will attach importance to developing other types of vessels like 115,000 dwt Aframax Tanker, 150,000 dwt Suezmax Tanker, 170,000 dwt Bulk Carrier, 4000??6000 TEU Container Ship as well as maritime facilities like RoRo Ship ,Marine Oil Storage Ship and Marine Oil Drilling Platform.
