Shanghai Coking & Chemical Corporation, a limited liability company restructured according to Corporation Law and Modern Enterprise System, is the biggest manufacturer of City Gas with a daily output 3.2 million cubic meters, half of that total in the city. The annual output of metallurgy coke is 1.9 million ton, methyl alcohol 350,000 ton, carbon monoxide 140,000 ton, phthalic anhydride 50,000 tons, as well as other more than 100 products, such as coal tar series, titanium pigment series, Grease Chemical series, industry gas series, inorganic zinc series, activated charcoal series, and water reducing agent, more than 200,000 ton.

We have Texaco vaporizer, low pressure synthesis of methyl alcohol device, and low temperature separation of carbon monoxide device, supported by which, we keep sustainable development and dedicate to the development and application of vaporization, carbonylation, hydrogenization and overoxidation. The technology and products of Carbonic Chemical and oxo synthesis engineering has been listed in the first 26 key items of revitalizing Shanghai through science and education.

According to the development mode of regional economic integration and recycling economy, we have established three Sino-foreign joint ventures with international famous corporations: Shanghai Cabot Chemical Co., Ltd., Shanghai ATOFINA Hydrogen Peroxide Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Linde Carbonic Co., Ltd., maximizing the use of resources. In order to reach the aim of motivating the restructure of Wujing Industrial Zone by developing Shanghai Chemical Industrial Zone, in 2004, we, cooperated with Germany Linde, established Shanghai Hualin Industrial Gases Co., Ltd. in Shanghai Chemical Industrial Zone to provide synthetic gas to customers in the zone.
