METALLIZED CAPACIFORS

The metallized capacitors are made of the dielectric and electrode, which is metallic deposit on the dielectric processed by vacuum evaporating technique. The metallized capacitors have characteristic of big capacitance, high insulation and fine self-healing property.

SELF-HEALING PROPERLY

When a metallized dielectric broke down, a large current through the breakdown position and arc-overoccurred, accompanied by a temperature rise around a breakdown point, and meatllized electrodes around a breakdown point will be evaporated. As a result, the round non-metallized area will be formed, so that breakdown point will be insulated with surrounding electrode and no short circuit will be formed. The capacitor can be operated normally. This property is called selfhealing.
