CMES presently owns 7 subsidiaries, including 4 refractory plants (one in Shan Dong Province, three in He Nan Province ), 1 refractory research institute (in Zheng Zhou of He Nan Province) , 1 equipment manufacturing plant (in Chang Zhou of He Bei province) and 1 project execution company (in Zheng Zhou of He Nan Province). At the present, CMES has morn than 3300 employees, with its headquarter located in Beijing.

CMES has a wealth of technical resources; particularly the Department for Design of Metallurgical Technology which is composed of internationally and domestically well-known professors, senior engineers and registered designers. Led by the famous metallurgical expert & doctoral student supervisor Cheng Shusen, the Department has made remarkable achievement in the research of B.F. hot blast stove, which is in the leading position of the field.

CMES not only has its own scientific research team, but also cooperates closely with several design institutes and college and universities in China, i.e. Beijing Central Engineering and Research Incorporation of Iron & Steel Industry, Central Iron & Steel Research Institute, Anshan Iron and Steel Design Institute, Shougang Steel Design Institute, Anyang Iron Steel Design Institute, Wuhan Iron and Steel Design Institute, Zhengzhou University, Beijing University of Technology and Anshan University of Technology etc..

For B.F. Hot Blast Stove:

High Efficiency Dome Combustion Hot Blast Stove Burner

It is the result of research and development by CMES itself, which has been patented by the state at present after confirmed through studies and discussions by domestic professors for several times. Meanwhile, 6 patents of state have also been granted in the research and development of the refractory materials. Of all those patented technologies, burner of the CMES’s high efficiency dome combustion B.F. hot blast stove, the high strength and high alumina ball and low creep refractory ball used for medium and mini B.F. hot blast stove and the 19-hole and 37-hole checker brick for medium and large B.F. hot blast stove have been utilized in the B.F. hot blast stoves of more than 20 iron & steel companies in China and well received by them thereafter.

References of CMES at present for projects under construction in this regard are the hot blast stoves of the 600m3 B.F. of Tangshan Bei Shiti Iron & Steel Co., Ltd and the 450 m3 B.F. of An Tai Iron and Steel Company; those for which contract have been signed and works are to be commenced are the hot blast stoves of the two new 450m3 blast furnaces No. 2 and No.3 of Tang Shan Guofeng Iron and Steel Company and the 600m3 blast furnaces of Qin Huangdao Baigong Milling Co., Ltd; those for which EPC contract is to be signed shortly are the preheating furnace of 2630m3 B.F. of An Shan Iron and Steel Group.

For Coke Oven:

LRJ-2000 Non-recovery Coke Oven

It is designed by CMES itself and has been patented by the state. This type of coke oven has been utilized popularly in China’s Capital of Coal — Shanxi and Shandong Provinces. Since this type of coke oven is proved in technology, lower in investment, fast in effectiveness, less in site occupation, superior in quality of coke with less ash content and high output, it has been well received by the customers all over the world after exported to Asia, Europe and America.
