The enterprise not only realized product upgrade and has formed 5 series: mid-short distance air-conditioning double-deck passenger car, mid-long distance air-conditioning double-deck passenger car, high-speed air-conditioning double-deck passenger car, electric multiple unit and urban rail transit cars. These products are purchased by 14 railway bureaus all over the country. Meanwhile, the enterprise has become research and production base of major components and parts, including 209T, 209PK, 209HS, urban rail transit car bogie and AM906 model 200km/h bogie.

　　Technology innovation yield fruits in Nanjing Puzhen Rolling Stock Works. Mid-long distance air-conditioning double-deck passenger car and high-speed air-conditioning double-deck passenger car achieved National Scientific and Technological Progress first Prize. In 1996, “Vanguard” rebuilt for Shanghai Railway Administration successfully sped up on existing railway, which symbolizes the beginning of Chinese railway speed up. “1 motor, 6 trailers” and “2 motors, 9 trailers” double-deck passenger car and “2 motor, 1 trailer” motor train set symbolize the latest level of Chinese motor train set. Among others, “Pioneer” “2 motors, 1 trailer” motor train deconcentration electric vehicle set 292km/h, the first speed record of Chinese railway at that time. In 1999, the enterprise took the lead to become appointed manufacturer of Chinese track cars. In 2000, Nanjing Puzhen Rolling Stock Works started technological cooperation with French ALSTOM Company and completed the 168-railway-vehicles project for Shanghai Pearl Line in 2004. This symbolizes the production technology transfer of international top grade railway vehicle, and the enterprise became the first one accomplished track vehicle manufacturing contract according to international standard from negotiation, purchasing, manufacturing, delivery to after-sales service. In March, 2005, it completed the production of 20 trains (120 railroad cars) for Nanjing Railway Line 1 ahead by 3 months. Currently, it has produced 43 trains (288 railroad cars). The extended line of Shanghai Railway Line 1 and Line 2 is in construction. And railway development of self intellectual property has achieved breakthrough; the first train is in trial operation. In 2005 it cooperated with Bombardier in technology and produced 286 international top grade 200km/h truck frame. In this year, the enterprise manufactured 331 new passenger cars, repair and reconditioned 831 passenger cars, achieving sales of 1.4 billion RMB and contributing to China’s urban rail transit equipment modernization as well as home-made percentage increase.
