As the largest manufacturer of locomotive electric transmission in China, the factory has equipped more than 95% different types of diesel locomotives with electric transmission equipment during the four times of speed-increasing in China railways. Yongji Electric Machine Factory has equipped about 70% of the total amount of domestic diesel locomotives and about 30% of electric locomotives with its products.

The factory is certified in conformity with the ISO9001 quality system, ISO14001 environmental system and OSHMS system. Its products have been exported to USA, UK, Switzerland, Canada, Iran, Egypt, Turkmenistan, Nigeria, Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Viet Nam, Sudan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, etc and the total value reaches nearly 700 million RMB.

The factory insists on combining self-development with imported technique and has introduced manufacturing technology of electric machine and electric apparatus from GE Company of USA and HITACHI of Japan respectively. The factory can design and manufacture products in terms of electric transmission system for locomotive based on the requirements of customers.

Yonge is indraughting technology from SIEMENS (Germany), EMD (U. S. A), ALSTOM (France), TOSHIBA (Japan) and HITACHI (Japan). The Joint Ventures between Yonge and HITACHI, Yonge and ALSTOM have been founded in Xi'an City, Shannxi Province, China.
