GZEP’s main business include the research and development of environmental protection and power saving equipment, product, technology and process; the manufacturing and popularization of wastewater treatment equipment; the construction and the operation of wastewater treatment plants; solid waste, dust and particulate control; utilization of gangue and centralized production of steam and electricity.

Anhui Zhonglian Environmental Protection Equipment Manufacturing Company, which was acquired by GZEP, is one of the first manufacturers of environmental protection equipment in China. It has over 30 years of experience in the manufacturing of wastewater treatment equipment. Its aerator technology has long been the best in the industry. GZEP now has the only manufacturing facility in China capable of producing the entire set of equipment with capacity of 50,000-400,000 ton/day. It has supplied over 8000 sets of equipment to over 800 plants and its equipment are sold all over China except Tibet and Taiwan, some are even exported to Europe, Africa and South Ease Asia. GZEP currently manufactures 15 different series with over 120 different models of environmental protection equipment. Its pump type surface aerator has won the National Gold Medal in Quality; the high-power invert umbrella surface aerator and NDY belt filter press are classified as National High-Priority Innovative Technology; the BZS type brush aerator, BBQ type high speed surface aerator and DQT type low speed propeller are all National High-Priority New Products; the QBG type submersible aerator won the National High-Priority Practical Technology Award.

GZEP has already completed over 30 wastewater treatment plant construction projects and has been involved in the construction of over 200 other wastewater treatment plants. In 2000, GZEP won the contract to build and operate the Bozhou City Wastewater Treatment Plant with a capacity of 80,000 ton/day. This is the only appointed example project by the State Environmental Protection Bureau; In November of 2001, GZEP won the first ever public bidding for the 15 year operating license of 2 wastewater treatment plants in Shenzhen City; In the same year, GZEP won the first ever international bidding held in China for a BOT project in Guang Dong Province, the Xinhui East Wastewater Treatment Plant; In 2003, GZEP invested, built and operated the first BOT project in Anhui Province, the Zhuzhuanjing Wastewater Treatment Plant. In 2003 GZEP won the bid for the 30 year operating license of the TOT project: Xu Zhou wastewater treatment plant with capacity 165,000 ton/day; In 2004, GZEP again won the bid for the 20 year operating license for the Changsha Second Wastewater Treatment Plant TOT project with capacity of 140,000 ton/day.

GZEP can provide services to the residential and industrial wastewater treatment industry ranging from the initial plant design, plant construction, to supplying the equipment, installation and adjustment, staff training and operation, forming a complete customer service system. Its business now encompasses all aspects of the wastewater treatment industry including plant design, construction, equipment manufacturing, plant operation and financing.
